Claude Lorrain was a French Painter, drawer, pen and wash, and Fresco painter alive between 1600-1682. He is very famous for, making the Sun a subject matter and tool. Making it come out at you, silhouette objects and people,, shafts of light highlighting things, a tunnel/vortex of sunlight. Infact he is known as the master of Contra-Jour.
